A buoyant world inspired three piece, Lúa references a wide range of the diaspora of tone, rhythm and groove music. From the deep grooves of Fela Kuti to the modern sheen of Khruangbin, Lúa effortlessly glides through the decades, glossing each song with their distinct and pulsing musical textures. Custom songs are lovingly transposed by the ensemble to fit into their sonic world, making the band surprisingly flexible and creative in a genre that is often very narrow in scope.
