Singer-songwriter Leeann Skoda has long been fascinated by female vocalists, years before becoming one herself. She recalls being hypnotized by Mariah Carey’s voice coming through the car radio of her mom’s Pontiac as a little girl in her hometown of Phoenix, AZ. The journey to finding her own sound has proved rewarding. With a voice reminiscent to some of Emmylou Harris or Neko Case, she’s been called “Los Angeles’ sweetheart” since moving to the west coast and
becoming a mainstay of the roots music scene. She also works as a session singer and has toured as a vocalist and guitarist for an eclectic range of musical collaborators
