An ensemble with the modest goal of redefining what a band can sound like, White Noise fuses the best parts of dance, pop, funk, EDM and groove into an intoxicating blend of DJ performance and live instrumentation. With nods to artists like Rufus Du Sol, Fred Again… Tame Impala and Kygo, White Noise cleverly updates the sound and feel of an open format dance band. With a DJ at the heart of the sonic texture, the band has limitless range and ability to improvise during their performances. Songs are extended, blended and combined with the beautiful acoustic textures of strings, horns, guitar and live percussion. The instrumentation of the ensemble is modular, which means a variety of instruments can be swapped in based on a client’s sonic preference and goals on the day.
