Melo Gía (Patricia Lewis Román) is a profesional singer and songwriter born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico. Melo Gía began her musical journey playing violin and singing in a children’s choir for the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory.

After attending Berklee College of Music, “Melo Gía” returned to Puerto Rico and continued her journey as a professional singer. After a decade of hard work, she has become one of the islands most celebrated voices of her generation. Amongst her collaborations, she traveled the world singing for international reggae band “Cultura Profética” (translated to Prophetic Culture).She has performed with Latin superstar and Grammy Winner Cristian Castro at the 2020 Univision Youth Awards, opened for Grammy Nominated singer Danny Rivera, and Latin Grammy Winner Singer/songwriter Pedro Capo.

Daughter to Puerto Rican mother and African-American father from Philadelphia, Melo Gía has set off on a journey of putting together a musical style that best describes who she is down to her latin and African-American Roots. Sung in three languages, “Bohemian Soul” is a fresh new sound painted in a canvas with all the colors of her Latin and African-American musical influences. A perfect mix of soul, jazz, reggae,  bossa nova, latin pop and bohemian balads.
